Public Prayer Political

We don't know how this turns out, but it is interesting that our government can't really manage to get along and run the government, but they have found a way around another part of the First Amendment.  Our representatives are tirelessly diligent in their pursuit of removing amendments by a backdoor approach.  Congress won't make this law, the Supreme Court will render a decision.

Fear and Anger are Affecting More Americans

We need to realize, as Americans, our fear and anger level is reaching a drastic and dangerous level.  Some of the posts I see on FB and other social media truly would feed the idea that some ideology is extreme, and I am not talking Sharia Islam.  Messiah said to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use us.  Paul reminded us that vengeance is not ours and we should not let the sun go down on our wrath . . .
And the beloved apostle John reminds us in his letters, that perfect love casts out fear.

Those who are claiming to believe the Bible, especially those who claim Torah Observance . . . we gotta stop sounding so angry and fearful!  We gotta stop BEING so angry and fearful!

Someone is Manned the Website.

The White House website had a comment about the shut down, yet this blog is maintained.  It seems the only thing that cannot be maintained and managed is the stuff, that before the shut down, required no management.   So, is this transparency or "in your face"?

Interestingly, a political barb appeared on the White House site, almost immediately, when Congress stayed true to form and did nothing . . .

Due to Congress’s failure to pass legislation to fund the government, the information on this web site may not be up to date. Some submissions may not be processed, and we may not be able to respond to your inquiries.

Information about government operating status and resumption of normal operations is available atUSA.GOV.
I'm leaving these links as they appear in the browser.  Obviously by this blog date, the website was being maintained, so the message on the first page simply indicates a lack of leadership, but exemplary skills in the blame game.

I went ahead and listed just a few more here, as they seem to be very good PR blogs, while the slam on Congress looms near the top of the page.

Something I've Questioned

Since I haven't read the entire Health Care Reform Bill, and the former Speaker of the House has indicated Congress hasn't either, a question keeps occurring to me.

Suppose Congress does defund the Health Care Reform Bill . . . That doesn't rescind the insurance mandate.  It just means there will be no subsidies.

Now, I don't know if it will be defunded, but from what I have read, even if the funding is not approved, the law for mandated health insurance will remain in tact and become effective whenever The Powers That Be determine "we the people" must comply.

Are we sure a defunding the bill or even a government shut down will postpone this inevitable Mandate of Control?

I've included a link to one article I've found that is also raising the same concern.

Most Americans . . .

Recent studies show, most Americans choose their news source according to their political leanings.  So, the mainstream media can service everyone as long as extreme of both "wings" is provided . . . and it is!  True information and factual data are secondary to political loyalty.

The Goshen Gazette is working to bring you actual, factual information as another option!

If a Doctor Recommends It . . .

I'm always amazed at how many people will defend their right to choose to eat in disobedience to the Instructions of our Creator, until a doctor tells them to quit eating bacon, or they have an allergy to shell fish.  Pigs do not sweat and they are highly toxic, they were created the way they were for a reason, but the reason is not for human consumption consumption.  Shellfish and scaleless fish are the bottom feeders.  Shrimp are the cock roaches of the sea.  Do you know what the "vein" really is in the shrimp?

The Average Person

Recent studies show, the average person believes themselves to be above average!

As a matter of fact, this pollster has yet to meet anyone who describes themselves as "average" or below . . .

The Data Base

I'm sure this is general knowledge, but take it as a friendly reminder of just how much information we make available through our internet activity, and in many cases, internet is the only way to make the transaction or complete the project.

I was registering a recently formed business with the office of the Secretary of State.  My state operates, primarily through online venue, for this particular endeavor.  So, of course, that means, a credit card, debit card, or routing number of my bank.  I'm still deluding myself that a credit card number keeps my bank account private.  (Insert LOL here.)

The registration was done on a Tuesday afternoon.  By Friday of that same week, a new credit card and payment acceptance product was offered in the name of the new business.  Keep in mind, if I'd made a bank deposit in the form of a check, it could have been three to five days before it was posted to my account, yet I digress.

The fact that a certification with my state government, was information immediately known to commerce and business entities is clear indication all those "privacy laws" are not actually for the benefit of the citizen's privacy.

Redefinition

Although the defniition of tolerance doesn't appear to have changed in the dictionary, the practical application of the word, certainly has.  Tolerance, is one of those terms that's being redefined by usage.  Tolerance is now defined in "sensitivity training" which is basically in a nutshell, "everybody tiptoe around the political cry baby," and anyone who expresses a view opposed to the political crybaby will not be tolerated.

In reading part of the Health Care Bill, and just like Congress, I haven't read it all, but I found the term "eligible" used.  It wasn't used in my general understanding of the term.  When I looked on WordWeb, it mentioned, "qualified, or worthy of being chosen."  In the Health Care Bill, every place I read the word, eligible, it seemed more of a euphemism for "targeted."

And literally, doesn't have to indicate something is true.

Successful People Set Goals

Those who do not set goals, do not go far in life.  Free time, leisure time, party time, or even retirement are not goals.  Successful people, do not aim for free time, and those who are truly successful in a career, either don't retire, or start their own endeavors after retirement.  Successful people don't use fear of failure as a reason to not set goals.  Most successful people do have a few failures under their belt, but they don't give up, and they continue to set goals and aim for accomplishment.

Interesting Blood Information

Recent studies show, the Jehovah's Witnesses may know something the rest of us should.  Some people, myself included, do not believe in transfusions, for religious reasons.  The Bible says "life is in the blood" and my life is not my own, therefore, neither is my blood.  Although the link below does not speak against transfusions, there is interesting data that indicates transfusions are over used and do not always speed the recovery.  There is much data to indicate receiving a transfusion is actually a health risk.

Entertainment Shapes Society

In watching the changes in our society, I have to say, I believe entertainment has made a greater impact on our society than we realize.  Entertainment is so powerful, it has even influenced our politics and our religion.

From the days of  "Father Knows Best" to Marcus Welby, MD, to ER, to . . . that was the end of my television days, but it's easy to see insurance has replaced faith and medicine has replaced healing, even amongst most believers.  Just in case someone might consider actually trusting our Creator with the health of their family, there are potential legal consequences.

Go back and check the 2008 campaign.  Oprah Winfrey determined whether this nation would have it's first woman president or first black president.  She was a powerful voice from afternoon television.

We also have to take a look at what our society becomes as our children are growing up, subliminally taking in their parent's entertainment.  The television was cast out of our family living room in 1990.  I've been in ministry for nearly 20 years, been television free for almost 15, but my 30 something daughter will still bring up what she remembers from television even without cable, before it left the living room.

Just one more reminder, that the influence on the next generation through the formative years is indelible.

The Strategy Surrounding Conspiracy Theories?

Recent studies show, the presentation of Conspiracy theories truly serves to divide the people.  Is dividing the people the real conspiracy behind all the conspiracy theories?

We need to remember, evil does not need to be a conspiracy.  Evil simply offers the opportunity to sell one's soul for money, power, or fame.  To have several people working toward the same end, really doesn't require them to be in on some sort of conspiracy, at all.

Then, as always here in America, added to the mix; will be arrogant authoritative opinions, with accusatory labels.  Creating the perfect environment for sides to be taken.

The results speak for themselves as the people continue to be divided.

To divide and conquer is a power strategy not a conspiracy.

Recent Studies Show

The use of the phrase, "Recent Studies Show," lends credence to the words that follow.  This will be a new section of the Goshen Gazette, and although birthed perhaps a bit tongue in cheek, the fact is:  Recent studies show, most studies are conducted, to prove desired statistics.  Most studies are established and funded for patent ownership, liability protection, and marketing.

The contributors at the Goshen Gazette, do not conduct their studies for corporate gain or reduced responsibility, but rather; to show themselves approved unto YHWH.

Our contributors are researching and participating in comparative studies to sound warnings and share the Good News.
